It’s ten o’clock on a warm, Saturday night and the dimly lit lamp emits my light for the evening. The wooden blinds are lowered withholding the summer heat in my very bedroom and the gold-threaded duvet is drawn right up to my chest, ready for me to fall into a deep sleep. And here I am, eager to venture into the world of blogging for the very first time.

I’m Sophie. A twenty-year-old BA Creative and Professional Writing undergrad. Sounds like a mouthful, doesn’t it? The reactions I get from people are all the same. *insert some sort of confusing, amazed and disbelieving facial expression here*
My interests are very wide and I am very eager to try new things. Here are some of my likes and dislikes below!
- I’m an avid lover YA fiction. Give me anything like a good romance or an exciting fantasy novel and I WILL devour it.
- My writing consists of horror, short stories and travel writing.
- I hate sprouts. Bleugh.
- The dinosaurs from the o.g Jurassic Park scares me yet I will never stop watching it.
- One of my favourite pastimes (aside from writing and reading) is watching television programmes and films from all around the globe. (Yes, I’m looking at you Korean dramas, Spanish soaps, Bollywood movies etc. etc!)
This blog shall feature reviews from my latest reads, my thoughts on adaptations, the genre etc. plus an appearance of some of my own creative pieces.
